讲座标题（Title）：Job Dissatisfaction and Employee Job Search: Social Class Differences
讲座摘要（Abstract）:
While previous research suggests that job dissatisfaction is a driver of job search, employees react to job dissatisfaction differently. Drawing from social class theories, this study advances that employees from lower-class origins are less likely to seek alternatives when dissatisfied, due to fewer resources and cognitive tendencies. Hypotheses were tested using data from the NLSY97 cohort followed by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and occupational data from O*NET. Findings and implications will be discussed.
嘉宾简介（Bio）:
Xuan Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at CUHK Business School. Her research program seeks to advance knowledge about the origins and impacts of socioeconomic inequality in the work context (e.g., job search, organizational socialization), and to identify solutions to reduce inequality. Her research has received AOM Best Paper Award and Anne Tsui “Dare to Care” Award.
