The School of Management, Zhejiang University is a major academic base where a variety of managerial professionals of higher level are trained. The strategy of the School is to integrate international management research with local business practice, enhance the special feature of research and development geared to innovation and entrepreneurship by convergence of talent resources and innovation of theories and methods, and establish several global research centers to form platforms for management education, research and applications that link together the university, enterprises, and the government. Strive to build the School of Management into a business school with its superior disciplines and academic programs and comprehensive strength among top rankings in China as well as with sustainable potentials of development and international influence.
The school consists of 5 departments, namely, the Department of Management Science and Engineering, the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Accounting and Finance, the Department of Tourism Management, and the Department of Agricultural Economics and Management. It has 1 national key disciplines and 3 provincial key disciplines, and it offers 3 postdoctoral programs，3 doctoral degree programs with 8 majors. Besides MBA, EMBA degree programs and a master's degree program in engineering, its master of management program has 7 majors and its undergraduate program has 9 majors. There are over 100 qualified and competent faculty members in the school and over 4000 students at different levels.
The School has successfully passed the AMBA accreditation on its MBA/EMBA and enhanced its educational quality and internationalization. It was the first one in mainland China to be accredited by AMBAs in 2006. The School has actively developed academic cooperation and established strategic partnerships with business schools from USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Korea, Singapore, Japan, Australia as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan, and jointly developed several international research centers and educational programs. The school has successively sent a large number of undergraduate and graduate students and MBA/EMBA students to overseas universities for exchange and study tour.
